North West, 50% of our turnover comes from the licensed trade. We have
become specialists in the trade. My team and I are accustomed to the unique demands of the licensed trade, moving pubs regularly, liaising directly with the landlords and ladies, often coordinating multiple pub locations and swops on the same day. We have managed under every conceivable situation imaginable; from dismissal of the licensee to the deadline of an early finish and we appreciate that the regulars still want to be served at lunchtime. It also pays to understand that the extra pressure of "living above the shop" adds to every job. We have taken sofas out through fire escapes to minimize disruption in the bar, negotiated difficult stairwells and met a few unfriendly dogs. We have moved landladies who were reluctant to leave, coped equally with the odd aggressive character and treated each situation and customer diplomatically and with respect. We still get repeat business and recommendations from licensees who have long left the trade. In addition to our full removal service our packing and containerised storage are offered at highly competitive rates. The latter can often help in situations where a pub is undergoing refurbishment, or a landlord has decided on a holiday before moving!.
